Explanation, details and sources

The groups follow the services in EUTECNIQ's plan. A company is listed where its own reporting puts most of its business, and can sit in more than one group.

Method, assumptions and limits
Selection
Companies that supply, test, manufacture or discover botanical and supplement ingredients and that publish primary documents (filings, annual reports, results releases) or describe themselves on their own websites. The list is illustrative, not a census; many regional manufacturers and laboratories are not named.
Figures
The latest annual figure each company reported as of October 22, 2026, in its reporting currency and in millions, with the label the company uses. No currency conversion, no estimates for private companies, no market shares.
Capability cells
Filled only where the company's own document states the capability. Blank cells were not researched further. Self-descriptions such as patent counts are labeled as self-reported.
Left out
Statements we could not verify from a company's own pages on the access date, including a sales figure attributed to Kemin Industries in trade press, and companies whose pages we could not read.
Does not establish
Product quality, market share, pricing, customer satisfaction or whether any company would work with EUTECNIQ.
Reproducibility
Company data: src/modules/compete/compute/raw/competitors.json. FDA counts: fda_part111_trend.py run against FDA's spreadsheets. Both feed build_compete.py, which writes the chart data and the tables on this page.

Adulteration has persisted through fifteen years of documentation

The ABC-AHP-NCNPR Botanical Adulterants Prevention Program began in 2011 and "has published 100 peer-reviewed documents." Its leaders reported in April 2026 that "adulteration of botanical ingredients has persisted." Examples they named include synthetic curcumin in turmeric products, synthetic S-allyl-L-cysteine in garlic extracts, undeclared vitamin C in acerola extracts, citric acid in boswellia extracts and quercetin added to andrographis.

Academy: why identity testing gates every botanical (Course 2) · identity methods (Course 3)

Explanation, details and sources

FDA publishes counts of the observations its investigators record on Form 483 after inspections. Under 21 CFR Part 111, section 111.70 requires specifications for every component and finished batch, and section 111.75 requires at least one identity test for each dietary ingredient. These two sections drew 711 of 1,938 Part 111 citations in fiscal 2025.

Each capability is a plan tied to a documented gap. A customer could check it through a deliverable, and each has a stated limit.

Partners, customers or rivals

Most of the named companies are more likely to be suppliers, customers or partners than direct rivals

Direct rivalry is expected only with testing laboratories; the other groups are suppliers or partnersPlanning view

Groups as defined on this page; the reasoning for each is in the table below.
Show the table (6 rows)
GroupMost likely relationship PlanReasoning
Ingredient majorsSuppliers and potential customersThey sell standardized ingredients that EUTECNIQ would test and formulate; their brand customers are the same Part 111 firms EUTECNIQ would serve. EUTECNIQ would not compete on ingredient volume or price.
Botanical-extract specialistsSuppliers; occasional rivals in custom extractionTheir scale in sourcing and extraction is not something a new facility would match; development-scale extraction and analytical support could complement it.
Branded-ingredient licensorsLicensing and development partnersBranded ingredients need identity methods, stability data and clinical-evidence planning, which are proposed EUTECNIQ services.
Testing laboratoriesDirect rivals in contract testing; partners for methods EUTECNIQ would not runAccredited laboratories exist close to EUTECNIQ's proposed Southern California location. They would also be natural partners for interlaboratory comparison and overflow.
Contract manufacturersManufacturing partners in the early phasesFinished-dosage manufacturing would be placed with qualified partners until EUTECNIQ's own manufacturing phases, which depend on later gates.
AI natural-product discoveryPartnersDiscovery platforms produce candidates; turning one into a specified, manufacturable and stable ingredient is development and quality work.
Explanation, details and sources

Direct competition would be strongest with contract testing laboratories. For the other groups, EUTECNIQ's proposed services would sit beside their businesses. This is a planning view, not a description of any existing relationship.
